KANKONDE
Self Catering camp on the Mutinondo River 11km from Mayense (Main) campe. BASIC BUT BEAUTIFUL. The camp includes a chalet with two beds
and mattresses, a toilet (yes with a view), shower shelter, dining/cooking shelter with shelves and 2 tables. Harrison, the caretaker, will heat your
water for the shower.
Situated 50m fom a beautiful swimming area on the Mutinondo River with a view of Nkonde rock across the river, this is a special spot originally built
for 2 researchers wanting a peaceful place to stay for 5 months to write up their papers.
Bring your own bedding, cutlery, food and cooking utensils.

VISITORS' DRIVERS AND OTHER STAFF
The above prices apply for visitor's staff and drivers. Please Please make arrangements for your staff accommodation and meals when you book.
We don't always have surplus supplies in camp so if your staff are not joining us in the dining room please bring sufficient food and cooking equipment.

DIRECTIONS:
From Lusaka drive o Kapiri Mposhi and continue for 5km until you get to the Continental Service Station on the right. Tun right up the great North Road
and pass through Mkushi and on to Serenje.(200km.) At Serenje take your speedo reading. Drive for 164km and look for our white sign on the right. Just
before our sign there is a Jehovah's Witness Church on the left. If you reach Kalonje Railway Station/Mucheleje Basic School you have gone 500m too far.
Turn down our road, cross the railway line and drive for 25km until you reach our camp. Ignore any turnings you may see to the right and left.
Beware of a few isolated potholes between Serenje and here. Look for skid marks on the road. Many have been repaired but there are one or two which
appear to have been left to "keep drivers on their toes"!
