Multi-Day Escarpment Hikes

Mutinondo's Escarpment Hikes take you deep into one of Zambia's last truly wild landscapes: a multi-day trek along the winding Mutinondo River, through miombo woodland, and up onto the dramatic Muchinga Escarpment. Every route ends at the same reward: the remote, thundering beauty of Mutinondo Falls.

This isn't a packaged safari. It's a small-group wilderness expedition, capped at 8 hikers, guided by passionate local experts who know this terrain intimately. You'll sleep beneath a canopy of stars in rustic bush camps, wake to birdsong instead of alarms, and cover ground that few travelers ever see.

Why hike with us:

  • Small and intimate: never more than 8 hikers, so the wilderness stays wild
  • Untouched terrain: remote trails through pristine bush, far from the crowds
  • Big skies, bigger views: panoramas from ancient granite inselbergs
  • Real bush camping: no crowds, no noise, just stars overhead
  • Local expertise: guided by people who've walked this land their whole lives
  • Choose your pace: Falls Lite for a shorter taste, Full Falls for the complete journey; self-catered or fully catered

Wildlife sightings are possible along the way, though never guaranteed. This is wild Zambia, on its own terms.
